Updated September 7, 2026: Our September 2 story described an overtime ban that was then affecting Victoria transit. BC Transit subsequently announced a change.

In its September 4 statement, the agency said it and Unifor Local 333 had agreed to mediation. It said the union had notified it that the ban would lift September 5 and stay lifted during mediation.

BC Transit said the bargaining concerned conventional transit operations and did not involve Victoria handyDART.
