Councillor Steve Gray is running for mayor, and the proposed fire hall is central to his campaign. He says Metchosin needs a modern station, but argues the current proposal is too large and too expensive for taxpayers.
“We all want a safe modern facility for our firefighters. There's no question about that. But an oversized project would have enormous, long-term consequences for Metchosin taxpayers.”

View Royal commits nearly $1.5M over 10 years to a new clinic
The town will contribute $225,000 upfront and $125,000 a year for 10 years. Aroga will operate the clinic at Eagle Creek Village, with plans to attach at least 750 residents to primary care in its first year.

Gordon United Church
Bring the broken toaster, lamp, sweater, or small appliance. Volunteers will assess and repair household items by donation at Gordon United Church in Langford, Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
